Parenting Services

Our integrated P-3 approach provides a supportive, stable learning environment from Pre-school through 3rd grade that requires intentional collaboration between students, parents and schools. It starts with providing accessible, quality childcare and evidence-based early childhood education and extends to on-site behavioral health services, parenting education, in-home support services and health screenings. Once Hilltop students enter elementary school, comprehensive support services continue in coordination with learning to help children confidently and successfully progress through school.

Our Approach

Hilltop offers a safe, loving environment for children to become confident learners for life. In addition, parents and families can receive support to achieve and maintain stability for their children. By meeting the unique needs of each child and family, we improve the well-being of the whole community.

Mission

To provide families the building blocks for a solid foundation.

Vision

Children and families thrive – in school, at home, and across the community.

Program Goals

These are the outcomes that we aim to achieve for the children and families in our community:

  • Safety
  • Stability
  • Well-Being
Measurement of Success

We want all children in St. Louis to be prepared for academic success. We strive to send every child to kindergarten ready to learn and prepared to be proficient in reading by the 3rd grade. Studies indicate that third grade reading proficiency correlates to increased high school graduation rates and success later in life. By examining Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) test scores in this area we can measure the lasting difference made by the programs at Hilltop.
